The Life and Ministry of Jesus
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Matthew 6:7–8
In praying, the principal object to be sought is to be alone with God. “When you pray, go into your room” (verse 6). We should endeavor to find some place where no mortal eye sees us, and where we can pour out our hearts with the feeling that no one is looking at us but God.
This is a rule which many find very difficult to follow; the poor man and the servant often find it almost impossible to be really alone; but it is a rule which we must make great efforts to obey. Necessity, in such cases, is often the mother of invention. When people really want to find some place where they can be in secret with their God, they will generally find a way. 1

Lord, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You. Psalm 38:9
God’s looking for heartfelt and truthful words, not repeated, memorized words.
A Prayer
Lord, thank You for letting me talk with You at anytime, about anything.
