FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 13:13–14: Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Paul gave several admonitions in the light of the Lord’s soon return. The first is, “Wake up!” The second is, “Clean up!” We do not want to be found dressed in dirty garments when the Lord returns. The Christian wears the armor of light, not the deeds of darkness. He has no reason to get involved in the sinful pleasures of the world. Finally, Paul admonished, “Grow up!” To “put on” the Lord Jesus Christ means to become more like Him, to receive by faith all that He is for our daily living. We grow on the basis of the food we eat. This is why God warns us not to make provisions for the flesh. If we feed the flesh, we will fail; but if we feed the inner man the nourishing things of the Spirit, we will succeed. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24

If we are going to put on the “new man” then we must abandon the “old man.” What is still in the hidden treasure chest of your life that you are delighting in? Get rid of it! It is only when we obey the truth, that the truth is able to set us free. Be set free today!

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Complete abandonment to Jesus means saying goodby to worldly living.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

Dear Father, may Your grace capture my heart and may I surrender more and more to the working of Your Spirit in my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.
