FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 8:35–36: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
Suppose some great trial or temptation comes, and we fail? Then what? Paul deals with that problem in this final section and explains that nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. God does not shelter us from the difficulties of life because we need them for our spiritual growth. God assures us that the difficulties of life are working for us and not against us. God permits trials to come that we might use them for our good and His glory. We endure trials for His sake. He is closer to us. 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
This world is not heaven. It is absent of continual peace and joy. Our soul longs for an uninterrupted time in the fullness of His love. We look forward to being in that glorious and abiding presence of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. While we wait for that blessed hope to become a reality, we wait with all the confidence that He has given to us. We hold fast to His words that nothing in this life can separate us from the love of God. Enrich your heart today in the truth that He will never leave you or forsake you.
FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God
I am never alone, because He’s with me, and I am with Him.
FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3
Dear Father, thank You for Your unrelenting love over me…in Jesus Name.
