FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:16–17: The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

I found this true the first time I went to the hospital for cancer surgery. I turned my face to the wall, like old Hezekiah did, and said, “Lord, I’ve been in this hospital many times. I’ve patted the hands of folk and had prayer with them, and told them, ‘Oh, you trust the Lord; He will see you through.’ Lord, I have told them that, but this is the first time I’ve been in here. Now I want to know whether it is true or not. I want You to make it real to me. If You are my Father, I want to know it. And, my friend, He made it real. At a time like that the Spirit of God cries out, “Abba, Father”—it just wells up within you. How sweet it is to trust Him, turn yourself over to Him. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 1:21–22

The Holy Spirit lives in us and now bears witness to us that we are a child of God. That means we are in His will. We are joint heirs with Christ. Even if we suffer for Christ, we will also be glorified with Christ. We are secure in Him. He sealed the deal. Now the Spirit is residing in our hearts; His guarantee that the purchase price has been paid.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Rejoice! Your future is filled with unimaginable wealth as you share in all the riches of Christ Jesus.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

And where I am, there My servant will be also. John 12:26

Dear Father, thank You for being ever present with me…in Jesus Name. Amen.
