FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:6: For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

The mind-set of those without Christ has distinct characteristics: death, hostility toward God, and an inability to subject itself to God. These govern its orientation to all of life. How sad! First Corinthians 2:14 says, “The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them.” On the other hand, “the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace” What Paul is saying here is immensely important because our mind-set makes all the difference when it comes to daily living. We all, whatever our spiritual state, live in a storm-tossed world. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. The set of our minds will determine not only eternity but the quality of our life now. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Are you a spiritually minded person? The best way to answer that question is by discovering how you are living during the days of the coronavirus. Are you constantly struggling with your emotions? Is your day dictated by the media. Is their assessment of this global pandemic causing your heart to be filled with worry or fear? Let’s set our minds on Jesus. Receive His peace. Be set free from a heart that is troubled.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

A heart resting in the hands of Jesus, is a heart free from worldly worry.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:8

Dear Father, teach me how to sow to the Spirit…in Jesus Name. Amen.
