FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 7:12–13: Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good. Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Unsaved people know that there is such a thing as sin; but they do not realize the sinfulness of sin. Many Christians do not realize the true nature of sin. We excuse our sins with words like “mistakes” or “weaknesses”; but God condemns our sins and tries to get us to see that they are “exceedingly sinful.” Until we realize how wicked sin really is, we will never want to oppose it and live in victory. See how sinful sin is when it can use something good like the Law to produce such tragic results. The problem is not with the Law; the problem is with my sinful nature. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. Galatians 3:21

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is the law we want to follow. The Spirit gives life, the law gives death. What the law could not do, God did. The law can not revive the flesh back to life, because the the law condemns. The Spirit will give you everything you need for living a Godly life in Christ Jesus. Repent of your sins now.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The sinfulness of sin has the most serious side effects, leading to darkness and death.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Your word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it. Psalm 119:140

Dear Father, may Your Spirit and Your Word purify my heart…in Jesus Name. Amen.
