FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 5:19: For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Paul calls it “the obedience of One.” Christ’s sacrifice on the cross not only made possible “justification.” Justification is not merely a legal term that describes our position before God (“just as if I’d never sinned”); but it results in a certain kind of life. In other words, our justification is the result of a living union with Christ. And this union ought to result in a new kind of life, a righteous life of obedience to God. Our union with Adam made us sinners; our union with Christ enables us to “reign in life.” 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus, thank You for opening my eyes to see You as the holy and spotless Lamb of God, who took all my disgusting filth upon Yourself. You became me at my worst. You hung on a tree, beaten beyond recognition so I could be recognized by You at heavens gate. You took all my wickedness and subjected Yourself to the full wrath of Your Fathers justice, so I could be justified and declared righteous. I am so humble before Your holiness and unquenchable love. I am so sorry and so thankful.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

He was beaten beyond recognition, so I could be blessed with every spiritual blessing.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

That the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling… Ephesians 1:18

Dear Father, I want to know You and hope of Your calling…in Jesus Name. Amen.
