FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 2:14–16: For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

The Jew boasted in the Law. He was different from his pagan neighbors who worshiped idols! But Paul made it clear that it was not the possession of the Law that counted, but the practice of the Law. God not only judges according to truth, and according to men’s deeds, but He also judges “the secrets of men.” He sees what is in the heart! 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

May your charitable deed be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. Matthew 6:4

Jesus, there is nothing hidden from You. You see my good deeds and You see my secret sins. You see the things that bring You honor, and You see the things that grieve Your heart. I am sorry for offending You. Thank You for Your forgiving grace, for the grace to press on in holiness, and to live my life in Your all-revealing light.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Your conscience is like an air traffic controller, telling you where to land safely.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psalm 32:2

Dear Father, thank You for your blessings and for no condemnation. Thank You for a clean heart and a new start. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit…in Jesus Name. Amen.
