FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 1:9: For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Paul had a long prayer list. When I was teaching in a Bible institute, I gave the students the assignment of recording each time Paul said he was praying for somebody. Many of the students were deeply impressed at the length of Paul’s prayer list. He prayed without ceasing for the Roman believers. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

For this reason we also, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; Colossians 1:9–11

Jesus, thank You for teaching me how to pray. I want to pray more frequently and more consistently, and eventfully without ceasing. I want to pray purposely, to be filled with the knowledge of Your will, Your wisdom and Your spiritual understanding. I want to pray…to walk like one who loves Jesus. I want to pray for fruitfulness. I want to pray to know Your strength, Your power, Your patience, Your suffering, and Your joy.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Pray with faith-filled words, and keep praying with joy-filled expectations.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Jesus spoke a parable, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1

Dear Father, please radically change my prayer life…in Jesus name. Amen.
