Psalm 129:8: The blessing of the Lord be upon you; We bless you in the name of the Lord!
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
A harvest comes and produces a blessing. The ungodly, though they flourish for a while, dwelling as they think, above the reach of harm, are found in a short time to have gone their way and to have left no trace behind. Lord, number me with thy saints. Thus would I make this psalm my own, and magnify Thy Name, and teach me to be a blessing to others. 1
Living the Transformed Life
Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “The Lord be with you!” And they answered him, “The Lord bless you!” Ruth 2:4
- I will make it my choice to arise each morning and purposefully be a blessing, and to offer a blessing upon each member of my household and my extended family.
- I will make it my choice to go purposefully into the workplace each day and to be a blessing to my co-workers, and pray in my heart for God’s blessing to fall upon each of them.
- I will make it my choice to intentionally greet those in the marketplace with a blessed countenance from the Lord, and to purposefully pray His blessing upon those I meet.
To be a blessing and to pray a blessing, is to leave a trace for others to follow.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for always extending Your blessed love and hope upon me. Dear Jesus, please teach me to bless others, the way You bless me.
