Psalm 95:1–2: Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
With holy enthusiasm let us sing, making a sound which indicates our earnestness; with abounding joy let us lift up our voices, actuated by that happy and peaceful spirit which trustful love is sure to foster. God is our abiding, immutable, and mighty rock, and in him we find deliverance and safety; therefore we should praise him with heart and with voice from day to day; and especially should we delight to do this when we assemble as his people for public worship. 1
Living the Transformed Life
“For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? 2 Samuel 22:32
- Because He is my Rock…I will praise Him for saving me for all eternity!
- Because He is my Rock…I can speak to Him about anything at anytime and He will delivery me from all my fears!
- Because He is my Rock…I will boldly praise Him in the House of the Lord and declare His greatness and salvation to the world!
The One who is my Rock, is also my Redeemer and my Righteousness.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for being the solid foundation of my faith and my future. Dear Jesus, please forgive me for failing to take more time to speak to You, my Rock. And for failing to wait and to listen to Your still small voice.
