Psalm 94:1: O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs — O God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth!
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
Many people say, “O, if the Lord would only come.” Well, He is coming, friend; but He is coming on His schedule, not on mine or any man’s schedule. Then when He comes, He will take care of all those things that caused us suffering. For the present He simply says, “Take My hand, and walk in faith.” Vengeance belongs to the Lord. He will repay. God will take care of things and set them right. There are a lot of things that need to be straightened out; and, when He comes to earth again in power and great glory, He will make things right. In the meantime, we are not to avenge ourselves. Turn those matters over to Him. 1
Living the Transformed Life
God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies; Nahum 1:2
- In that day, He will right all wrongs…therefore, trust Him today, and do not allow your heart to be filled with the bitterness of injustice.
- In that day, He will right all wrongs…therefore, take His hand today, and let Him lead you through the valley of the shadow of death, doubt, and despair.
- In that day, He will right all wrongs…therefore, surrender to His Lordship today, be filled with His Spirit, and serve Him with joy, for He was everything under control.
There is a coming day, but rejoice, for today is the day of salvation.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for having the whole world under Your absolute and perfect control. Dear Jesus, please forgive me for failing to yield to Your sovereignty over my life.
