Changed by His Love
1 John 4:12: No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
The point that John is making here is that no man has seen God at any time, but God today can manifest Himself through believers loving each other. Since the world in general is not seeing Jesus as He is presented in the Word of God, the only way it will know of God’s love is through the lives of believers who represent Him. None of us knew about God’s love until God showed it to us on the Cross when Christ died, and He makes it real to us by the Holy Spirit.
It is still true that there is none that seeketh after God, so God has come down seeking man. He came down nineteen hundred years ago, manifesting Himself in the Lord Jesus Christ, and all I know about God is what I know in the person of Christ. I can feel the heartbeat of God. I know how He feels at a funeral, for the Scriptures tells us that “Jesus wept” (John 11:35). I know these things because the Lord came and manifested God. 1
Loving Him
The maturity of a believer is not found in the amount of verses they have memorized, but rather in the amount of love they have bestowed on others. If you look at your love meter, would it indicate that your life is overflowing in the love of God towards others? What needs to happen in order to have greater spiritual maturity in your life? Read the first thirteen verses in John 15, and you will receive some biblical encouragement that will lead towards a measurable increase in spiritual maturity.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5
Loving Others
His love for the world is demonstrated by His followers who are living out His life in the world.
Make Me Like You
Lord, thank You for saving me, and for giving me the privilege of serving You.
