Jesus is Essential
John 19:20–22: Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.” ’ ” Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
It was written in Hebrew, the language of religion. It was written in Greek, the language of culture and education. It was written in Latin, the language of law and order. Thus, it was written for the whole world to see that He died for all. This is the gospel that is to be preached to the world. This is the hope of the world. 1
Walking with Jesus
When we look to the Cross, we see the love of God bleeding for the sinfulness of the human race. This should move our hearts to love Him and live for Him. Are there any changes you need to make to allow Him the priority He deserves as Lord of your life?
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
There is still just one message of hope for the world: Jesus Saves!
Praying
Lord, it is a joy to praise Your Name, and to rejoice in the joy of Your salvation.
