Jesus and His Word
This last commendation is that this church kept the Word of Christ in patience. This is evidently the patient waiting for the coming of Christ for His own. It has been in the present century that the doctrines of eschatology have been developed more than in all previous centuries combined. During the past forty years, there has been a revival of interest, both in Europe and in America, in fact, all over the world, relative to the second coming of Christ. Even the liberals talk about it now and then. 1

- Jesus, may You supply all the hope I need. I want to pray to You and receive the comforting promises of Your word. – “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope.” Psalm 130:5
