Revelation 3:12: He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

The third promise to the Philadelphians is that God would honor them. Ancient cities often honored great leaders by erecting pillars with their names inscribed on them. God’s pillars are not made of stone, because there is no temple in the heavenly city. His pillars are faithful people who bear His name for His glory. 1
Jesus and His Ways
- Jesus, thank You for the coming Heavenly City that You have prepared for Your bride. May I live each day celebrating the “Bride of Christ” relationship that I have with the Lamb of God who took away all my sins. – “But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.” Revelation 21:22
- Jesus, thank You for the grace to be Your faithful servant. Please teach more about dying to myself and living for Your glory. – “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” Matthew 25:23
- Jesus, thank You for preparing such a glorious future. Please open my eyes to see more of Your Lordship over my life. – “As we have heard, So we have seen In the city of the Lord of hosts, In the city of our God: God will establish it forever.” Psalm 48:8
