Prayers Answered

Discipleship Living: Psalms

Psalm 54:6–7: I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good. For He has delivered me out of all trouble.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

In full confidence that God had heard his prayer and would deliver him from all the troubles brought on by his foes, David promised to praise God with a freewill offering. This refers to the fellowship offerings that accompanied and expressed praises for deliverance. They were offered voluntarily by devout believers. David again spoke of the Lord’s name as good. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for always taking care of me, in all of my troubles.
Dear Jesus, help me to die to myself, and to live as a living sacrifice, for Your glory.
