Discipleship Living

His Blessing is Upon You

Discipleship Living: Psalms

Psalm 67:1: God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

This verse is a reference to the Trinity. It is a reference to the great threefold Trinitarian blessing that God gave the nation of Israel when He prepared them for the wilderness march. Some of the teachers of Israel refer to the “face of God” as the Messiah; and this is the Messiah, that is Jesus, the Christ, God the Son, our Savior. 1

Living the Transformed Life

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ’ Numbers 6:24–26

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for all the ways You bless me everyday, and in so many ways. Dear Jesus, please teach me to live under the blessed canopy of your love and mercy and grace.
