Discipleship Living

He Knows and He Understands

Discipleship Living: Psalms

Psalm 139:2: You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

Thou knows my down-sitting and mine uprising. Me thou knows, and all that comes of me. My most common and casual acts, my most needful and necessary movements, are noted by thee, and thou knows the inward thoughts which regulate them. Whether I sink in lowly self-renunciation, or ascend in pride, thou sees the motions of my mind, as well as those of my body. Sitting down to consider, or rising up to act, we are still seen, known, and read by our Lord. Thou understands my thought afar off. Before it is my own it is foreknown and comprehended by thee. 1

Living the Transformed Life

The Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name. Malachi 3:16

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for knowing me, and still choosing to love me. Dear Jesus, thank You for comforting me in my sadness and sorrow.
