Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
In these verses, he coaches himself. He must not let legitimate anger creep over the line into sinful anger. He must still himself before God and meditate on what he knows to be the truth of God. Furthermore, he must concentrate on doing right and put his trust in the Lord. 1
Living the Transformed Life
Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. Psalm 33:8
- Sinful anger produces resentment and bitterness, and leads to the death of a Spirit-filled life. Anger works against you and it will become a brutal task-master over you.
- Do not justify your anger because you are hurt. Repent and be still before Him. Meditate on His truth, and not on your emotions. He will minister to all your needs.
- Trust Him. His greatest desire is for you to know Him in Spirit and truth. He will allow difficult situations so you can experience the greatest of His love. Are you willing to surrender your anger and trust Him? Be still and trust Him.
All others can never do, what only Jesus can do. Trust Him completely, with everything. – TWEET IT
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for always being there when I can not sleep. You listen to me. Dear Jesus, please forgive my anger. Teach me to meditate on Your Word, and not on my problems.
