Discipleship Living: Psalms

Psalm 50:7: “Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God!

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

If you had lived in Jerusalem when the temple was there and people worshiped in it, you probably would have asked, “Lord, are you criticizing these people? They come regularly to the temple (which is the equivalent of every Sunday morning and evening service plus prayer meeting on Wednesday night). They are as busy as termites serving around the temple.” Sure they were, but just going to church is not the most important thing. Of course it is important, but it will not establish a relationship with God. You had better establish that relationship through Christ so that your churchgoing can be pleasing to God. 1

Living the Transformed Life

And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. “You shall have no other gods before Me. Exodus 20:1–3

His work in me is more important than my work for Thee.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for speaking clearly about the matters of life and godliness. Dear Jesus, teach me how to put my relationship with You above all other relationships.
