Discipleship Living

A Greater One is Coming

Discipleship Living: Psalms

Psalm 110:1: The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

The words of this psalm are addressed to the psalmist’s “Lord.” The expressions are those of a prophet who had received a revelation from God. Jesus quoted Psalm 110:1 in Mark 12:36 to demonstrate that He the Messiah was to be David’s Lord, not merely David’s Descendant. David knew that he was not that one, but that a greater One was coming who would have dominion, power, and glory forever. 1

Living the Transformed Life

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. Hebrews 10:12–13

Prophecy is what our all knowing God told us in advance about a glorious future with Him.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for revealing that You are in absolute control over everything. Dear Jesus, thank You for being the Word of Life. You spoke it. You fulfilled it.
