Proverbs 29:25: The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

Insight

To fear man ensnares in the sense that one’s actions are controlled or confined by the person who is dreaded. It is far better to trust in the Lord because that brings safety. Security in the Lord removes intimidation by man. 1

Application

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8

Have you been trusting other people’s opinions more than the opinion of God? Seek God for the answer you need. Please consider reading the Sermon of the Mount today. His Word is your living answer to all your problems.

Motivation

He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20

When I fail to trust, I will begin to rust. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, please forgive my unbelief. May my trust in You only increase day by day.
