Proverbs 31:11: The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.

Insight

‘The heart of her husband trusts in her.’ You can trust her faithfulness to your marriage vows. She is not flirtatious or immodest. When you go out of town, you don’t have to worry that she will be with another man. You can trust her with your reputation. She will bear your name with dignity. She will not gossip or reveal your secrets to others. You can trust her with your money (and your credit cards). She won’t spend you into debt. You can trust her oversight of your children and household. ‘He will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.’ The virtuous woman devotes herself to assisting her husband in every way she can, particularly in the domestic realm. Such a husband is richly blessed. I have seen many a man greatly improved by marriage to the right woman.1 1

Application

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 1 Peter 3:3–4

The real you is not the person in the mirror. That is just a reflection of how you wish to portray yourself. You are far more than just a reflection. You are the hidden person that no one else sees except God. He sees His daughter. That is the real you.

Motivation

Riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord. Proverbs 19:14

A mirror reveals the obvious, but the Spirit reveals all the hidden secrets. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, even though You know everything about me, You still love me.
